This page (I hope) will only be frequented by people who can
give me jobs! So to ensure that they can rapidly bring me down
to a set of keywords and numbers that they can smirk at, and then
discard, I will do what I can to make their life easy
Professional work
I work for Oracle Corp. and have done
so for all my years of working (that would be 4.5+ years)
In all these years, I have worked on Core Java, SQL, Shell scripting &
Perl scripting on Sun solaris and Red Hat Linux boxes.
I have learnt nothing that you can't learn by yourself, but heck,
Oracle still keeps me in its payroll! Thats gotta count for something!
I have a designation of Principal Software Engineer! If you think
thats just some fancy name, you might be closer to the truth than you
know! That designation keeps me 3 rungs away from the janitor and 8
rungs away from the CEO!
College
Before I became a software engineer, I was an electrical engineer,
courtesy, a bachelors degree from
IIT Roorkee.
I graduated with First Class Honours much to my own surprise.
Since then, I have striven to stay away from any such similar surprises!
More college
I have been trying to upgrade from being a software engineer to being
a computer engineer. I am therefore persuing a part time MTech in Computer
Science from IIIT Hyderabad.
With luck, I will graduate by April, 2007. (If any professor or tutor from
IIIT is reading this, pleas dont flunk me in your course!)
Some school
I studied in St. Xavier's School, Bokaro Steel City for 12 years
I did ok in school, the teachers did not hate me, and I was not the most
bullied person, but on the flip side, no girl ever went out with me!
I scored 93.8% in my Std X boards and 90.0% in Std XII.
Come to think of it, maybe thats why, no girl ever went out with me!
